Automated warehousing industry

The automated warehousing and intelligent logistics industry serves as the core hub of modern supply chain systems. A wide range of critical automated equipment—including aisle stacker cranes, shuttle carts (RGV), parent-child shuttles, four-way shuttles, elevators/lifts, AGV travel rail systems, conveyor transfer platforms, vertical lift modules, and multi-tier shuttle systems—must achieve round-the-clock high-frequency, high-precision, and high-reliability automated operations. The traveling rail systems that support these precision machines endure the multiple stringent demands of high-frequency reciprocating motion, high-speed start-stop cycles, and precise positioning over the long term, while also being subjected to specific operating conditions such as temperature and humidity variations within warehouse environments and stringent cleanliness requirements. The smoothness, straightness, and long-term dimensional stability of the rail system directly affect stacker crane access efficiency, shuttle positioning accuracy, rack structure safety, and the overall system reliability of the entire intelligent warehouse.

From Rail Fittings to Full Life-Cycle Services, Ensuring Efficient and Precise Operation of Automated Warehousing Systems

The automated warehousing environment is characterized by high-frequency operations, precise positioning, high cleanliness requirements, and compact spaces. The small-scale rail systems relied upon by aisle stacker crane floor rails and overhead rails, shuttle travel tracks, and various transfer equipment are the foundation for ensuring the efficient and precise operation of intelligent warehousing. We provide:

1. High-Precision Small-Scale Rail Systems and Supporting Fittings

  • Core Products: Light-duty special-purpose rails, small-profile rail clips (welded/adjustable types), rubber pads, elastic fasteners, fishplates (joint bars), connecting plates, leveling shims, rail connectors, end stops, and more.

  • Precision Assurance: For high-frequency reciprocating motion and millimeter-level positioning scenarios of stacker cranes and shuttles, we offer high-precision machining and supply capabilities for rail top straightness, parallelism, and elevation, fundamentally ensuring the accuracy and smoothness of equipment travel trajectories.

  • Vibration Damping and Noise Reduction: We provide high-elasticity rubber pads that effectively absorb vibration energy generated during high-speed operation, reduce equipment operating noise, and simultaneously buffer the repeated impact of wheels on the rail, extending the service life of both the rail system and equipment wheel assemblies.

  • Environmental Adaptation: For different scenarios including cold-chain warehousing (large temperature fluctuations and condensation), clean electronic warehouses (dust-free requirements), and ambient-temperature general goods warehouses, we offer low-temperature-resistant rubber pads, low-outgassing environmentally friendly fittings, and standard anti-rust treatment solutions to ensure long-term stability of fittings under varying temperature and humidity conditions.

2. Professional Rail Installation and Replacement Engineering

  • Precision Installation: For new intelligent warehouse projects, automated high-bay warehouse retrofits, or logistics sorting center projects, we offer full-process construction from surveying and set-out, foundation treatment, small-scale rail laying, to fine alignment—ensuring that geometric parameters including gauge, level, straightness, and parallelism fully meet the high-speed and high-precision operational requirements of automated equipment.

  • Rapid Replacement: Coordinating with warehouse off-peak operating hours or equipment maintenance windows, we carry out replacement and adjustment of worn or precision-degraded rails using rapid and efficient construction techniques, minimizing disruption to daily warehousing operations.

3. Rail Maintenance and Inspection Services

  • Precision Rail Geometry Inspection: Using laser alignment instruments, track gauges, leveling instruments, and other specialized tools, we conduct regular quantitative inspections of small-scale rails, assessing settlement, deviation, corrugated wear, and parallelism deviations, and providing targeted calibration plans.

  • Rubber Pad Condition Assessment and Replacement: We conduct regular inspections of rubber pads for aging, crushing, and loss of elasticity, promptly replacing failed pads to restore the vibration-damping and cushioning capacity of the rail system, and preventing rail loosening and positioning drift caused by pad failure.

  • Rail Clip Re-Tightening and Calibration: We perform regular re-tightening of clip bolts to specified torque values, combined with visual inspection of anti-loosening mark lines, ensuring that the fastening condition of every connection point remains consistently reliable and eliminating the risk of loosening caused by high-frequency vibration.

Rails are the "precision tracks" of automated warehousing systems. We do not build stacker cranes, nor do we develop control systems—we focus solely on small-scale rails, rail clips, and rubber pads, ensuring that every high-speed pick-and-place operation is executed with pinpoint accuracy.

Track Installation at a Steel Plant in Fujian

This project involved the installation of approximately 3.2 kilometers of heavy-duty rail tracks at a large steel plant in Fujian, covering raw material transport lines and the blast furnace casting area. Despite challenges including high-temperature operating conditions, foundation settlement, and the need to maintain continuous production, the team employed precision temperature-controlled tensioning techniques, high-strength fastening systems, and a phased off-peak construction schedule. The project was completed five days ahead of the 45-day timeline, with all track gauge and leveling tolerances exceeding national standards. The tracks have since maintained stable settlement and smooth operation, effectively supporting the plant's efficient and safe production.

Coal-Fired Power Plant Railway Track Project in Morocco

This project involves the modernization of industrial railway tracks for a large coal-fired power plant in Morocco. The railway system serves as a critical link for coal transportation, essential to the plant's continuous operation. Sinchold supplied rail clamp products for this project, ensuring track structural stability and fastening reliability. The key challenges included adapting product solutions to the specific characteristics of the Moroccan railway market and completing the upgrade while the power plant remained in full operation. By optimizing product compatibility and introducing fastening technologies suited to local conditions, the project team successfully supported the railway system's modernization, enhancing operational reliability and transport efficiency.

Port and wharf industry

Port and wharf industry

Qingdao Port, China

This project involved track installation along the wharf and yard areas at Qingdao Port. The key innovation was the upper pressure plate's active fit-and-lock design, which prevents rail loosening under heavy-load, high-frequency operations. The system also enables the use of pneumatic or electric wrenches, greatly improving construction efficiency and minimizing disruption to port operations. The track system has since performed reliably with excellent fastening stability.
