In large ports, shipyards, or docks, quay walls, finger piers, and shiplift platforms are cast with independent concrete foundations and separated by expansion joints. When large vessels berth against finger piers, instantaneous lateral impacts cause differential horizontal and vertical displacements between the two sides of the joint. Heavy rails laid across these joints are subjected to multi-directional movement or settlement, leading to bending, buckling, or even fracture—severely compromising transport safety.

SINCHOLD has developed a globally patented, unique Modular Transition Track System (MTTS) that effectively absorbs displacement in X, Y, and Z axes, accommodating up to 25mm vertical, 25mm lateral, and 35mm longitudinal movement. It resolves complex mechanical stresses at expansion joints, ensuring travelling equipment passes safely and smoothly over the transition module without stopping.

Manufacturing Process

Material Selection: High-strength, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant steel is selected, specifically 42CrMo alloy.

Cutting & Blanking: Raw materials are precision-cut to specified dimensions using specialized cutting equipment.   

Forming & Machinings: CNC milling machines shape the cut materials to exact design specifications.

Heat Treatment: Components undergo quenching and tempering processes to enhance mechanical properties.   

Surface Treatment: All parts receive hot-dip galvanization for superior corrosion protection.

Assembly: Components are meticulously assembled into a complete transition module assembly per design requirements.

Inspection & Testing: Rigorous quality checks and performance tests ensure compliance with all mechanical and operational standards.

Packaging & Shipping: Approved products are properly packaged and prepared for delivery to customers.
