The railway industry serves as the main artery of national transportation, encompassing national railways, local railways, industrial sidings, and urban rail transit systems. A wide range of critical rolling stock—including electric locomotives, diesel locomotives, high-speed trains, metro trains, light rail vehicles, and track maintenance machinery—must operate safely and reliably around the clock under high-density, high-speed, and heavy-load conditions. The rail systems that support these trains endure the combined effects of alternating stresses, wheel-rail impact, thermal stresses, and natural environmental factors over the long term, while also facing multiple degradation challenges including subgrade settlement, rail wear, fastener fatigue, and weld defects. The smoothness, stability, and durability of the rail system directly affect train operation safety, passenger ride comfort, wheel-rail maintenance costs, and overall line operational efficiency.
From Rail Products to Full Life-Cycle Services, Ensuring Safe and Uninterrupted Railway Transport
The railway line environment is characterized by high speed, heavy loads, long distances, and outdoor service conditions. The rail systems relied upon by main lines, station tracks, industrial sidings, and urban rail transit are the foundation for ensuring safe and efficient railway transport. We provide:
1. Railway Rails and Supporting Connection Fittings
Core Products: Light rails, heavy rails, fishplates (joint bars) and connecting bolts, insulated gauge rods, track spikes, rail anchors, rail pads, leveling shims, and more.
Connection Reliability: We provide fishplates and high-strength connecting bolts matched to the rails, ensuring that joint connection stiffness and electrical continuity meet line operation requirements.
Elastic Vibration Damping: We provide rail pads and leveling shims with different stiffness grades, effectively absorbing wheel-rail impact vibration, reducing track bed dynamic stress and ballast degradation, while also lowering wheel-rail noise and enhancing ride comfort.
Rail Reinforcement and Anti-Creep: For special sections such as steep gradients and sharp curves, we provide rail anchors, gauge rods, and other reinforcement devices to prevent longitudinal creep and gauge widening caused by train traction and braking forces.
2. Professional Rail Laying and Replacement Engineering
Track Laying: For new railway main line construction, station yard renovation, or industrial siding extension projects, we offer full-process construction from subgrade treatment, sleeper laying, rail placement, connection fitting installation, to fine track alignment—ensuring that the four key geometric parameters (gauge, level, longitudinal level, and alignment) fully meet line acceptance standards.
Rail and Sleeper Replacement: Coordinating with railway timetable adjustments and track maintenance window periods, we carry out efficient replacement of worn rails, turnout replacement, and extraction of failed sleepers, minimizing disruption to normal train operations.
Continuous Welded Rail Construction: We provide long rail welding and stress relief construction services, eliminating rail joints, reducing wheel-rail impact, and providing smooth joint-free rail surface conditions for high-speed and heavy-haul lines.
3. Rail Maintenance and Inspection Services
Rail Flaw Detection: Using ultrasonic flaw detectors, we conduct periodic full-coverage inspections of the rail head, web, base, and weld zones, promptly identifying internal defects such as transverse fissures and cracks, effectively preventing rail breakage accidents.
Track Geometry Inspection: Using track inspection instruments, leveling instruments, total stations, and other equipment, we conduct regular inspections of track geometry parameters including gauge, level, longitudinal level, alignment, and twist, assessing line condition and providing maintenance and adjustment plans.
Rail Maintenance and Replacement: For rail wear, joint damage, surface fatigue cracks, and other defects, we provide targeted remedial services including rail grinding, joint reinforcement, and localized rail replacement.
Rails are the foundation of railway transport. We do not build trains, nor do we dispatch schedules—we focus solely on steel rails, connection fittings, and pads, ensuring that every train arrives safely, punctually, and smoothly across thousands of miles.
Track Installation at a Steel Plant in Fujian
This project involved the installation of approximately 3.2 kilometers of heavy-duty rail tracks at a large steel plant in Fujian, covering raw material transport lines and the blast furnace casting area. Despite challenges including high-temperature operating conditions, foundation settlement, and the need to maintain continuous production, the team employed precision temperature-controlled tensioning techniques, high-strength fastening systems, and a phased off-peak construction schedule. The project was completed five days ahead of the 45-day timeline, with all track gauge and leveling tolerances exceeding national standards. The tracks have since maintained stable settlement and smooth operation, effectively supporting the plant's efficient and safe production.
Coal-Fired Power Plant Railway Track Project in Morocco
This project involves the modernization of industrial railway tracks for a large coal-fired power plant in Morocco. The railway system serves as a critical link for coal transportation, essential to the plant's continuous operation. Sinchold supplied rail clamp products for this project, ensuring track structural stability and fastening reliability. The key challenges included adapting product solutions to the specific characteristics of the Moroccan railway market and completing the upgrade while the power plant remained in full operation. By optimizing product compatibility and introducing fastening technologies suited to local conditions, the project team successfully supported the railway system's modernization, enhancing operational reliability and transport efficiency.
Qingdao Port, China
This project involved track installation along the wharf and yard areas at Qingdao Port. The key innovation was the upper pressure plate's active fit-and-lock design, which prevents rail loosening under heavy-load, high-frequency operations. The system also enables the use of pneumatic or electric wrenches, greatly improving construction efficiency and minimizing disruption to port operations. The track system has since performed reliably with excellent fastening stability.
Saudi Haden 2GW Photovoltaic Power Plant Fire Protection EPC Project
Located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, this 2GW solar project is a flagship initiative under "Saudi Vision 2030." Sinchold partnered with MINIMAX to deliver the full EPC scope for the fire protection system, including design, procurement, installation, and commissioning. Strictly adhering to international standards, the team achieved all safety, quality, and schedule targets, earning high client recognition. The project's success demonstrates Sinchold's strong EPC capabilities in new energy and complex industrial sectors.
King Salman Port Track Installation Project
Located at Saudi Arabia's King Salman Port Project, a key "Vision 2030" initiative set to become the world's largest super shipyard, Sinchold supplied rail clamps and performed track welding and installation for the 1,600-tonne gantry crane across over 1,200 meters of track. Client Saudi Aramco imposed industry-leading precision standards. The team used aluminothermic welding with total station real-time monitoring, achieving minimum joint misalignment of just 0.2mm and flatness within 2mm. Since November 2023, they overcame extreme heat and sandstorms, delivering first-pass weld acceptance achieved on every single joint and zero deviation, earning dual honors as "Excellent Supplier" and "Excellent Subcontractor."
China Wenchang Base
Located at China's Wenchang Space Launch Site, a key national aerospace project and one of the world's most advanced launch centers, Sinchold supplied high-precision rail systems and performed track welding and installation for the launch pad's heavy-load transfer equipment. The client imposed stringent precision standards to accommodate the extreme loads of rocket launches. The team employed advanced welding techniques with real-time monitoring, achieving results well within required tolerances. Overcoming tropical typhoons, high humidity, and saline corrosion, they delivered exceptional quality throughout all inspection phases.
Curated real-world projects that clearly demonstrate solution value and practical outcomes.
